Techne: derived from the Greek word for craftsmanship, craft, or art.

It is the rational method involved in producing an object or accomplishing a goal or objective. The means of this method is through art.

Technology: the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment.

Michele Walker was born in 1968, at the dawning of the Internet. Since she was a child, she has been fascinated by the blending of technology and art.

She graduated from Ball State University in 1993 with a BFA in Graphic Design.

Since that time she has worked in Advertising, Not-for-Profit organizations, Colleges and Printing Companies.

Besides art and technology, her interests include camping, gardening, Steve Martin plays, ancient cultures, sci-fi and Terry Pratchett. She and her husband are currently living in and rennovating a 100-year-old Victorian house in Richond, Indiana's historic Starr District, along with their 2-year-old daughter and assorted cats and fish aquariums. Her husband begs you not to ask her about Battlestar Galactica.
